GAP is the length of the final space just before the signal repeats, I'm not sure what should be entered for remotes that have special repeat codes, but the GAP parameter (and all other parameters that can be in the configuration file) is documented here: http://winlirc.sourceforge.net/technicaldetails.html LENGTH is the total number of pulses and spaces in each signal. In spite of the example given in the instructions, I think this parameter should always be odd. For example RCA/PROSCAN devices can be learned by entering 7800 51 for GAP and LENGTH. The learn function in the current version of WinLIRC has trouble with remotes that have very short gaps, e.g., GE/RCA/Proscan. Also it has problems with remotes that use a toggle_bit. You should be able to easily figure out what GAP and LENGTH should be by looking at the raw codes, but WinLIRC is usually pretty good at detecting these as long as the GAP is not too short. |
