NB : I noticed that after an undifined lapse of time, if not activated again (by entreing the trigering corner of the screen) ( around 20-30 minutes, but it is not constant), the amout of RAM used suddenly drops to an acceptable amount (around 15-30 Mo). If triggered again, the RAM usage immediatly rise again. I suppose this is an intended behaviour, such as a high level/low level standby mode ? I noticed WinStep is very heavy on memory usage. On my system* it is using 255 Mb of RAM ! Compare it to, say, Nexus Dock wich is using 13 Mb. Is there a way to prevent that ? Windows 11 24H2, 16 Mb RAM, 30840x2156 screen.

I was wondering whether it would be possible to introduce trackpad support so you can switch pages by swiping left or right with two fingers to switch pages. It would kinda finish the experience off when using it on a laptop.

Can or will you be doing another build soon? I tried the Setup.exe again and it's still blocked by AV. I don't think I can talk our I/T into allowing it even if it is a false positive. I tried downloading the zip file and Chrome blocked it as harmful too! One additional thing, if you do do another build, could you make the update check optional? Since I literally cannot upgrade to 0.5.4, I keep getting the "Update available" nag screen. I see there's some talk from others about making this open source....

Hello! Thank you for the update of WinLaunch to version 0.5.4. Unfortunately, I cannot perform the update (Windows 10, Avast virus scanner) because Avast found a malware threat in update.exe. Also virustotal.com reports a problem with this file eight times (as of 2022-01-27 05:11:57 UTC). I hope that it is just a false positive, but maybe something can be changed in the source code and recompiled. Thanks.

Hey, I love this program and have been using it for years! I got a notification there was an update today, but when I tried to update, it got flagged as "threat level high" by company's AV...not sure why as I remember the last update not giving me any problems. The main thing that I'm missing is ability to open a program only with keyboard, without mouse interaction. This could be achievable through selection and you navigate with ⬅️⬆️➡️⬇️ keys and enter to open a program. The program installed on my PC (0.5.3.0) looks different from the version in the video (0.4.9.0). In my WinLaunch configuration some of my shortcuts point to files on an encrypted volume. When WinLaunch starts before I mount the encrypted volume the application-specific icons for those shortcuts are replaced by faceless generic icons (even though the I can go in and Restore any individual icon, but I can't find a command to restore all the icons in one step. Is there such a command? If not, please consider adding it. I guess I could delay starting WinLaunch until after the encrypted volume mounts....

I am a computer scientist, and I use a hundred utilities when programming (Windows 10 needs to be spied in many ways if you want it to behave correctly...). Hi, I use WinLaunch to manage my Visual Studio solutions, and I have the same solutions in DEV, TEST and RELEASE branches. Is there any possibility to force a linebreak, so that all DEV solution links are in one line, then a linebreak and the next line contains all TEST solutions? Probably I could fill the line with dummy entries to force a linebreak (as long as I don't change my screen resolution ;-), but maybe there is a better approach or this feature could even be added to WinLaunch ;-)? i have the latest version available installed... when it runs in fullscreen, i see this ugly blue border lines between the folder icons and even the app icons ... please check the screen shot ... Open the startmenu and type %appdata% then simply copy the WinLaunch folder to the appdata folder on the new system and remove the dead icons. There will be a backup and restore option in the future.
