The difficulty is to find the good design in order this was usefull.
With news controls, this will probably leed to new method of using applications.
Why 3D :
- it will always look greater than flat desktop
- bring new possibilities in application design
- every computer have powerfull 3D card today, why leave them sleep in desktop mode (90% of time)

Indeed, this project was born on the 3D hergonomy, that changes our practice and extend the possibilities. All that is rather experimental but the guiding principle is that all must be contextual (each face of an object can have an "under-using" differente).
If you have sugestion on what should be an interface 3D dont esitate to make tour remark.
