Grouping is fairly simple select all the faces in one of the objects you wish to group then go to select in the toolbar menu and at the bottom click new group and name it, then do the same with each object accept on these the menu will now have an option to add to group select this and now when you want to select all the objects you just go to the select menu and select the group.Note: if any of the objects are locked they won't be selected.Hope this helps!
