I am using the 2.5-variant of the project. When I downloaded the newest release (win_flex_bison-2.5.4.zip), I noticed that win_flex.exe was not updated. The file is updated in win_flex_bison-2.4.4.zip.

actually in this minor release I only updated custom build rules files (win_flex_bison_custom_build.props; win_flex_bison_custom_build.targets; win_flex_bison_custom_build.xml). It's related with this topic.
Both win_flex.exe and win_bison.exe file I stayed unchanged. I compared win_flex.exe from win_flex_bison-2.4.4.zip and win_flex_bison-2.4.3.zip packages now and they are identical.
Or am I missed something?

I messed up while comparing the files; sorry about that. What I meant was that the update of win_flex in 2.4.3 (which is the same in 2.4.4) did not occur in the corresponding 2.5.3/2.5.4, but I was incorrect.
