Wincito / News: Recent posts

The Wincito project is not being actively maintained anymore. I still leave it up here on SourceForge for reference, in case people are looking for some C# code how to react on global key events (the most interesting piece). For a great application launcher, take a look at launchy.net. That's what I use these days.

Wincito is a Windows hotkey/shortcut application. It displays a small prompt once a given hotkey is pressed and the user can then enter a shortcut command. Entering shortcuts as clear text has the advantage that they feel more natural and are easier to remember than single key strokes. Autocompletion is available.

The new release features a new menu for all defined shortcut commands from the tray icon's context menu. Commands that consist of multiple words (e.g. "new email", "new task") are added as sub menus.... read more
