Version 2.4.2, tutorials and more testers!

Well, version 2.4.2 of WindowsBuildAudit has been released. This is a minor release which changes the target CLR to .NET 3.5. This means that Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 after being freshly installed with no windows updates. We would like to drop the required .NET version down to 3.0 which would give us out-the-box support for Vista and Server 2008, but unfortunately the code uses some features only in 3.5 (namely; LINQ). WindowsBuildAudit works on all versions of Windows since XP as long as you have at least .NET 3.5 installed, available from windows update or the Microsoft web site.... read more

Version 2.4.1 released.

Version 2.4.1 of Windows Build Audit has been released. This is a minor release that builds upon the user interface and fixes a few minor display bugs.

Call for testers!

WindowsBuildAudit is looking for some testers to help weed out the bugs and suggest features. No experience is necessary, the best place to get started is to download the latest release and see if it works! As you poke around and find issues, enter them into the tracker here at sourceforge. Version 2.3 released.

Version 2.3 of Windows Build Audit has been released. This release brings a variety of code improvements and polis to the GUI. Large improvements to the Management UI. This release ties up some loose ends getting ready for work on the WbaService project.

First commit and release (Alpha)!

I am pleased to announce that I have committed the first source tree for Windows Build Audit to sourceforge.net.

The project is still very much alpha quality software - not intended for end users, but this gives developers and advanced users a change to see what is coming in the future.
