- **status**: pending --> closed --- ** [tickets:#40] Disk Imager scans whole %USERPROFILE% on start** **Status:** closed **Release:** 0.9.5 **Created:** Sun Nov 27, 2016 12:32 AM UTC by Roland Illig **Last Updated:** Wed Dec 07, 2016 05:50 PM UTC **Owner:** Tobin Davis When I start Disk Imager, no window shows up. Instead my hard disk starts to work. This is because Disk Imager scans all my directories. 1. Disk Imager must not scan my private files. They are mine and they are private. 2. It isn't Disk Imager's job to scan directories. It's only job is to write disk images to disks. 3. Even when doing this at startup, there must be a window telling the user what happens. Since I have a few hundred thousand files and a rotating hard disk, scanning all these files takes several minutes. During this time, Disk Imager does not seem to respond at all; it is not even visible in any way. --- Sent from sourceforge.net because win...@li... is subscribed to https://sourceforge.net/p/win32diskimager/tickets/ To unsubscribe from further messages, a project admin can change settings at https://sourceforge.net/p/win32diskimager/admin/tickets/options.
