From the wxProjects project: Ken Robertson - kenrob
"If the permissions for the anonymous user are set to
(:=rw), the Author Login function doesn't work, i.e.
clicking the link doesn't present the Author Login
dialog box. Thus, known editors can't identify
themselves on a system that permits anonymous editors.

If the permissions for the anonymous user are set to
read only (:=r), once an author has logged in, they
cannot logout to let another author, or an anonymous
user, log in (e.g. on a shared system), only an Admin
user can log in. (If an Author tries the Admin Login
link and presses Cancel, gets a '401 - Unauthorized'
error, presses the browser's back button, then tries
the Author login link, that works!)

Someone with =rwa permission can only log in using the
Admin Login dialog.

I would prefer that any named users, with rw in their
permission, be able to use the Author Login dialog, and
that using the dialog with empty fields gave the user
identity and permissions of the anonymous user.
(Alternatively, provide a Logout function, causing the
user to become anonymous.) Accordingly a user with rwa
permissions would also be able to log in as an author
since they include 'rw'.
