I don't really like the combo-box for the special pages
- too many clicks for me. If you're gonna keep it,
maybe you can make it "submit-on-select" (with
javascript c.s.).

There's just too many of them for regular links. I'd have no
problem with adding some submit-on-select javascript as long
as it didn't interfere with the way it works on browers without
it. Likewise, I expect I'll add some extra client-side form
validation with Javascript at some point too, but I want to
make sure the site is fully functional without it first.

The thing that bugs me about the combo box is not so much
the number of clicks as that I don't have the option of
conveniently opening the new page in another browser window
or tab as I would with normal links.

I'm a tabbed-browsing junkie; I love to keep lots of things
open at once, so this seriously cramps my style!

I'm in the same boat as Brion (vibber).
However, there is a workaround to this:
Instead of choosing a page from the menu,
just click on "Go", taking you to [[Special:Specialpages]].
From there, you have ordinary HTML hyperlinks.

Can be closed; combo-box has been removed already.
