In computer and information sciences, an "ontology" is a structure that represents the knowledge within a domain in the form of a set of concepts and the relationships between those concepts. It can be used as a model to represent the said domain and then used for further reasoning about the entities in the said domain.

Wikipedia is a free internet encyclopedia that is supported by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation and is collaboratively edited by volunteers from around the world. The English Wikipedia has over 4.2 million articles and the total number of articles is around 26 million if the articles in all the 286 current languages are counted.

The articles in Wikipedia are linked with one another using hyperlinks. The purpose of this project is to exploit this property and try to come up with a coherent concept ontology using the article titles in the traversed Wikipedia articles as the concepts.
