I'm very excited that somebody finally made a wiimote driver that actually lets me use joysticks. However, every time I connect a wiimote using Wiiji, I get this error message:
"No Virtual HID Driver Available
"Wiiji is Unable to open the Virtual HID Driver.
"HID joypad emulation unavailable."
Any help you can offer me on this would be wonderful.
I have a 2.0 ghz core duo MacBook Pro, running OS 10.5.2.
I received this message one time, but every other time the Wiimote has connected fine. I think the solution was to go to Bluetooth in System Preferences and delete the Nintendo RVL-CNT-01 device. Then open Wiiji and try to connect again.
Do you have Osculator installed? If so, its "Perfect-Pairing" prevents the VirtualHID driver from loading. The next version of Wiiji (sometime next week I hope) has this fixed. For now you have to disable perfect pairing.
Excellent! The Osculator was indeed the problem.
Thank you very much.
