Hello - I'm having trouble installing the plugin on our Linux Eclipse. I can install and run Wicked Shell fine on PC Eclipse but not Linux Eclipse. We use Linux 2.6, bash, Java JDK 1.6, Eclipse Helios. I access it using Xming (X server for PC) from my PC. Originally, we put the zip file in our system eclipse/plugins directory. I first tried to install just using the zip file but Eclipse says it can't find any categorized items so cannot proceed. So, we unzipped into the system eclipse plugins "wicked_shell" directory (which we created) and, upon install attempt, even though Eclipse let me select the wicked_shell directory, it still said it couldn't find any categorized items. I then tried installing from an eclipse/plugins directory that lives under my home directory. Same results. I am not root on our Linux system, just a regular user working with my root sys admin person and providing him with the instructions. Please can you tell me what is going wrong and how it can be remedied? Do you think this is happening because I don't have enough permissions? or perhaps because I run Eclipse through Xming? Thanks, Iceberg ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
