weTalk

Hello! WeTalk is an open-source appliance that allows people to use off-the-shelf hardware to build a full-fledged audio communications system.

It's intended for local radio, small broadcast studios, and other teams who need a way to talk to each other, but can't afford equipment from the likes of Riedel and Telex.

That's a bit of a lie - weTalk is actually two things:

  1. The weTalk Appliance is a customised Linux distribution that turns your computer into a communications matrix, enabling you to use off-the-shelf audio hardware to build up a comms system, with weTalk as the engine.
  2. The weTalk Framework is an API and a set of standards that allows... something. Ideas?
