Hi, WePS has moved from SourceForge to Savannah. This change has been done for many reasons (ethical and technical). In the next days I will update the CVS. Note that the weps-devel and weps-users mailing list have been also moved. Please, subscribe to the new mailing lists. You can find mor information on the Savannah site. http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/weps/ And... I hope the new version of WePS (0.3.0) to be available before Christmas. This new version will include: ==== - The long awaited user/group system - Internal links to files (like "ln -s" in Unix) - URLs (WePS as a bookmark) Thanks to Cristina Garcia and Andres Garcia for these three cool features. - Display images (WePS as a photo album) ==== I will need a lot of beta testing before releasing 0.3.0, so I hope you all will help me. Don't worry, I'll send an email when need requesting for the help. That's all for now. best regards, aleix |

hi Nathan! thanks for your mail! these are really good news. right now, the users system is already done in a local version i have in my box (i have not code it). it has to be tested, and may be polished, and this takes a lot of time that i do not have right now, but may be in a month or so. let us know if you work on the WePS PHPNuke module. btw, most of your wishes are in mind. best regards, aleix |

I made a post at one of the PHPNuke webportal support forums to see if = anyone was interested in making WEPS available as a module for = PHPNuke(my original post below). Also, to add to that little wishlist at the end of the post, I was = thinking, it would be very nice to be able to download specific files = out of a zip, or tar.gz file. It might work like this... next to the link to download the compressed file, there is a link called = content, you click on it, and a pop-up comes up, list each file as a = link, you click the link, you download the file. Plus, a download cart might be nice. example.... next to each the link of each file is an enque link, when you click this = link, that file is added to the users list of TO-Downloads when they are = done browsing, they click a download cart link, then, all those files = are compressed with tar.gz, or zip or .bz2 or whatever it is they = picked, then downloaded as one huge file. ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Nathan Spaeth=20 To: wep...@li...=20 Sent: Friday, July 25, 2003 3:27 AM Subject: WEPS and PHPNuke Hey people, first, nice system, you created here, second... Just one more thing! There's a problem when trying to compress files with spaces, I think weps pass arguments to the compressor (tar) without putting file names=20 Between "" or ''. Hi, I have been quite busy with other stuff so it has not been quite the nice way of doing it, but this is a nice hack to add "select all" support to packaging pages. I had been hoping to do an invert check, but as the form action is set to a whole different page it can't be done without a more extensive rewrite of certain areas that I am not going to delve into right now. Here is the patch in unified diff: --- weps-0.2.5/weps/inc/filelist.php 2002-10-24 00:22:36.000000000 +0200 +++ htdocs/weps/inc/filelist.php 2002-11-25 16:06:41.000000000 +0100 @@ -38,6 +38,11 @@ echo ' <input type="submit" name="downButton" value="'; echo _my("Download tarball"); echo '">' . That seems to be doing unnecessary work.. the javascript can be "hidden" in the pages so that non-javascript browsers will just ignore it. As long as no core features depend upon javascript it should be alright. However small enhancement features such as the check all button/box is not essential, and is done most easily with javascript (even though I could probably easy whip together a PHP implementation instead). Oggetto: Re: [weps-devel] Italian Translation "Nicola" <ni...@li...> writes: > I would like to translate weps into italian. > can you give me a little explanation on how to do it? > sure. it is really easy. the internationalization (i18n) in WePS has been done with gettext. So the first thing you need installed in your system is gettext (this doesn't work in windows systems). if you have gettext installed (most systems have it) then you need to setup locales for italian (if you have an italian system it would probably have been done when you installed it). Steps to translate WePS ----------------------- 1. create directory inside the locale/. the directory must be called like you country code. for example, for catalan, the directory is called: "ca_ES" that is, the catalan language in spanish country. For italian i think it must be "it_IT" but i'm not sure. 2. create another directory inside you "it_IT". call it LC_MESSAGES. 3. copy weps.po inside the LC_MESSAGES directory. you can find weps.po inside the locale/scripts directory. 4. edit your weps.po and fill the spaces with your transaltion. you must keep the english message, you just need to fill the empty spaces. you can also edit your name in the top of the weps.po. just take a look at it, it's really easy. 5. once you have finished the translation. go to locale/scripts and run: ./compilepo it_IT this will generate a weps.mo file in your translation directory. 6. edit the inc/languages.php and add the italian language to the list. this list is the one that is shown in the web site. 7. you can edit inc/config.php and change the variable LANG to your new added language. this will take the italian language as the default language for WePS. that's it. remember to run compilepo each time you change anything to your weps.po. if you have any problem you just need to report them. best regards, aleix ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: ApacheCon, November 18-21 in Las Vegas (supported by COMDEX), the only Apache event to be fully supported by the ASF. http://www.apachecon.com _______________________________________________ weps-devel mailing list wep...@li... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/weps-devel |
