#3 jar file does not work on Windows XP

following the instructions at the site:
If you want to try WeirdX as soon as possible and don't need the source code at the first time, just download 'weirdx-*.jar' and run it; 'java -jar weirdx-*.jar'.

I downloaded the jar file,weirdx-1.0.32.jar, and in the directory where downloaded executed:
D:\Downloads\Xwindows>java -jar weirdx-*.jar

D:\Downloads\Xwindows>java -version
java version "1.6.0_12"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_12-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 11.2-b01, mixed mode, sharing)

D:\Downloads\Xwindows>

A window titled "WeirdX" appeared, but was all white with nothing in it.
