build adaptations for Debian
added debian source format
Debian version 2.8.4.2 see debian/changelog
Ok, thanks!
Ludovic has moved from CVS to GIT since making that post, so I think the bit you quoted has been satisfied
I'll move the source to a more modern repo. Is this still accurate? I would love to see weex still actively maintained, and would gladly participate (at least in testing and documenting).
This is also documented at https://stackoverflow.com/a/6786522/2657549 It would be useful to add this information to the install instruction, in my opinion.
Thank you for your answer, I tried several methods but each time, if the file is missing from the local folder it is deleted on the remote folder.
IgnoreRemoteFile = .htaccess Hi! Did you try with both IgnoreRemoteFile and IgnoreLocalFile? Regards, -- Ludovic https://drolez.com/blog/ - Music and Tech Blog https://chezsandro.com - A cool place in Cape Verde :)
Hi, I can’t keep . htaccess in local and I want to keep it remote. I put the following lines in my . weexrc but it doesn’t seem to work : [gfp] HostName = ftp.xxxxxxxxxxxxxovh.net LoginName = XXXXXXX Password = XXXXXXXX SrcDir = /home/xxxxxx/gfp DestDir = /www ShowHiddenFile = true IgnoreRemoteFile = .htaccess [default] What happened ?

Initial commit weex 2.8.0
Hello Robert, I still maintain the package for the Debian project. I add very few features, but weex is stable and I still use it daily on my web sites. I've seen that I forgot to upload the v2.8.3 source code to SF, it's currently available on Debian pages, sorry for that, I'll fix that asap... Of course you can contribute and your patches will be integrated, and I'll move the source to a more modern repo. Hello Ludo, I don't know whether what you said eleven years ago is still true but... I still use weex and am struggling with its removal from the Gentoo repositories. I could push for its reinstatement but they'll flat refuse if there's no sign of activity on the project. Even moving the (now dead) CVS repository over the SVN would help! If you're looking for someone to chip in some effort, I've recently resurrected my own legacy SF project and would be happy to join the team. There's a minor fix...
I also had to run autoreconf -vfi before running make. Otherwise I got an error about missing depcomp. And I had to copy config.guess from somewhere (e.g. /usr/share/automake-1.15/ on my system).
Segfaults on Ubuntu 18.04
To fix this, copy config.guess from somewhere else into the directory where you build weex. See https://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/manual/html_node/config_002eguess.html. For example, on my Ubuntu 18.04 system, it's in /usr/share/automake-1.15/config.guess.
It's now 2016, so I suspect nobody's working on weex any more. Too bad; I could use...
