I'd think you may want to go ahead and announce now if you're going to mark
a binary as final, because I don't think a week of non-publication is going
to bring in enough of a new user-base, or be enough time for new users to
find the problems that will appear and are going to have to be fixed in a
later patch anyways.
Heh, but then again, announcing is one thing, and articles are another.
