I would generally vote pro. I don't know the OS guys but I had a quick look over sitemash and osuser and they do their jobs quite well. Additionally webwork seems to go well together with OS if I remember correctly what has been told on this mailing list. -billy. --=20 Philipp Meier o-matic GmbH Gesch=E4ftsf=FChrer Pfarrer-Wei=DF-Weg 16-18 Tel.: +49-(0)700-66284236 89077 Ulm |

WebWorkers, I just got this from OpenSymphony. It's an interesting proposal, but I'd like to hear your input whether you think it's good or not. What are the pro's and con's? regards, Rickard ps. Those of you who are already involved with OS, please state this when voicing your opinion on this. -- Rickard Öberg Author of "Mastering RMI" Chief Architect, TheServerSide.com The Middleware Company - We Build Experts! |

Hello, The velocity-dep*.jar is not from the 1.2 release but a release candidate prior to the official 1.2 release. Also, the docs mention installing velocity.jar and commons-collections.jar rather than the velocity-dep-1.2.jar. That may be technically correct but it seems to me the doc should also mention what's actually installed. Thanks, -Bill |

Hi Rickard and I have been talking about arranging a little get together during J1 for those of you who are developing/documenting on the WW project, so here goes: Time: Wednesday, March 27 - 6.30 pm Place: The 'sports' bar on the corner of Fourth and Mission (it's in the same building as the SF Marriott, right across from the Metreon Theatre entrance) If anyone have BOF's or any other non-moveable plans for this time and date, please let me know (ASAP). I'll see to it that we are highly recognisable ;) Best, Kjetil H.Paulsen /kjetilhp ......mogul.technology.............................................. mogul technology as > kjetil h.paulsen - senior software architect drammensveien 134, NO-0277 oslo, norway cell +47 93060327, tel +4724114300, fax +4724114399 kje...@mo..., http://www.mogul.com PGP fingerprint: DA54 A106 1989 FEF0 294F 63A4 9FC6 0F8E 21AD 0180 ICQ -> 66288365 ..............................................mogul.technology...... |

Here are the section I show as outstanding. - Forms (Jay, are you still planning on checking in the form section?) - Error Handling (I just finished and will check in tonight) - Base Classes (list of base classes we are talking about and what we want to say) - Action API (Is this anything more than the interface API?) - Features (need examples of features we want to list) - HMVC (Rickard, do you still plan on writing HMVC? Are you planning on writing any others?) I assume all the other sections are complete. -Matt _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com |

I would like to propose that we define the view mapping as we have done for log4j. You just specify the file and WW will read in a property or XML file. Right now WW by default loads the property file and conditionally loads the XML file. I don't see the reason we need to load two files since most people will just use one format like log4j. -Matt _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com |

Kjetil, It seems the user registration example is not working. I assume it is because of the name conflict issues you had earlier while checking in files. To resolve this we need to remove the old files in the attic or repackage it. I propose we repackage the example and remove it from tutorial and move it under test. I propose that we remove tutorial package all together. It is confusing. -Matt _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com |
