[Webwork-devel] WebWork - OpenSymphony

I would like to emphasize again on a few points :
The idea I first came with is to leverage each other meaning we can use each
other's infrastructure and more importantly exchange ideas, collaborate, ...
I already stated the main advantages I see in the proposal and previous
posts and from my point of view, that is real Open Source.

From a technical standpoint, as it is for existing OS components, WebWork
should stay usable on its own even in the long term (may be in the long term
some dependencies on OSCore).
We should promote highly modularizable components.

One idea that comes to my mind is to create a subproject that could be
called OSPlatform (if anyone has a better idea for the name ...) that has a
goal to create a distribution and configuration tools that would ease using
all components of OpenSymphony.
This would certainly bring new ideas and needs in individual components but
would promote keeping components usable on their own.

Any thought?
