My motivation is that I'd like to separate mail traffic that is automatically generated and can come in larger volumes (cvs commit logs) and human generated mail. (Although I find the cvs commit log messages useful, I have a low interest in them compared to human generated message= s and hence would like to separate them). But this is not a big issue for me.
