Dear Chuck, Geofff and Co, I recently installed Webware v7b2 and found that docs of MiddleKit and others are not directly accessible thru the Webkit example pages. I added some new contexts to view them thru the Web. It would be nice if there was a single entry point (accessible thru local Web) to all of the documents (like the index.html in the /Webware/docs dir) As I want to write a full blown ERP using Webkit I wanted to see the Middlekit example. But the help page accessible thru the MKBrowser does not explain very well what I have to do. Do I have to set up a database? Which ones are preconfigured?, etc. If the questions are not easy to answer please put a link 'Please read the MiddleKit docs first.' which points to the docs. The first impression is very important, and a user who sees the examples working with very few user interventions will find Webware much more attractive. (The best environment for web application development. ;-) ) With best regards, Erny Spain |

WebKit, by default, does not yet give you access to the documentation of the components sitting next to it. Any takers? In the interim, access the docs directly via the file Webware/Docs/index.html as explained right at the bottom of the install.py output. Regarding MiddleKit, it comes with an Introduction and Quick Start. Also, the Wiki pages are a must-read: http://webware.sf.net/wiki/MiddleKit -Chuck |
