The same differences between a java servlet runner and JSP.
Webkit is a servlet runner. It takes python applications and spins them
in RAM until they are called upon byt your browser.
PSP is a templating language that embeds Python into HTML.
You can use PSP with Webkit, you can also use Webkit without PSP or with
a different template system such as Zope Page Templates or Cheetah.
You can also use PSP without Webkit. But if you are going that route
and trying to stuff all of the login into a single page I recommend that
you look at PHP. They have some innovative techniques that allows you
to build spaghetti code, and I would honestly venture to say that PHP is
much more suited to building unmanageable systems then python is. Java
is even better if you stick to JSP but nothing beats Perl. A one-line
e-commerce system. Smells like a camel!
ps. there is nothing wrong with spaghetti if its Wednesday.

Moreso, the PSP plugin turns PSP scripts into servlets, so PSP is
entirely built upon WebKit. A better question is what are the
advantages of writing your application in Python servlets, vs. PSP
servlets. I would say -- control logic is best done in Python servlets,
while PSP (or another template system) is best for producing output.
Note that PSP in Webware is like JSP, while there are several other
things called PSP that are more similar to ASP or PHP.
