If you're getting a crash, it's probably because there's something unpickleable in the data -- things like network connections and file handles can't be pickled. If you are pickling a class, generally you have to be sure that all its instance variables are pickleable. There are ways you can write your class to be pickleable, though -- the pickle documentation mentions some of these. Ian |
