Hi -- I am wondering whether there is any ongoing
development on to the sourceforge project websphinx.
There seems to be sufficient demand for the tool.

I am working with websphinx in a modified version that
is adjusted to java 5.0, changes of the regex classes
and generics in some places. I would contribute them to
the project.

BTW: I couldn't see if there are new developments in
the SF CVS repository because there is no anonymous
access any more and the CVS web viewer reports:

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an
upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET
/viewcvs.py/websphinx.

Reason: Max-Forwards has reached zero - proxy loop?

Any special policy on read access to CVS? Or just some
error?

Would you like any contribution to the code or is it
just finalised and "period";-)?

Regards,

gregor

    Hello Gregor and Alexmc.

I have not really done a thing with WebSphinx since I started this project.

Of course, as you probably know, this is not the original home of WebSphinx and I'm not the original author. At one point I was also interested in updating it with some new features. But I am no longer even working for the company for which I did my original WebSphinx modifications.

I would be happy to transfer ownership of this SF project to someone with a more active interest in WebSphinx. Please let me know.
