can't start apache after webserv install

Hi,

I just installed the latest version onto a Windows 2000 computer. However the Apache won't start with the following event log:

Event Type:    Error
Event Source:    Apache Service
Event Category:    None
Event ID:    3299
Date:        1/25/2008
Time:        11:12:00 AM
User:        N/A
Computer:    ***
Description:
The Apache service named reported the following error:
>>> (22)Invalid argument: Couldn't start ErrorLog process     .

Event Type:    Error

Description:
The Apache service named reported the following error:
>>> Unable to open logs.

I installed twice and had the same error. I wonder if you have seen anything like this. Thanks!

  Check the httpd logs
  \WebServ\logs\httpd\error.log
  
  or you can also run httpd -t from the \WebServ\apache22\bin to test the config file for errors
