      Give it a try.... ?

I like it, way easier to setup than apache and works nearly the same! Cool stuff.

Excellent piece of software, made setting up a webserver a breeze.  Any chance to have mod_security integrated in the future?

HAve tried it, and I like the concept. MYSQL does not work for me though.

      It's great!!

I have a bit of problem getting php to run off root directory. It's seemed phpmyadmin works fine under webserv directory. When i move php script to root directory, script is not executing... it says file not found.

Will work on it some more...

Well, the webserver fails at startup. The error message is located in c:\webserv\logs\error.txt file as follows:
[Sat Nov 13 15:30:37 2004] [error] Can't load Perl file: conf/startup.pl for server localhost:80, exiting...

Although there is webserv/httpd/conf/startup.pl in XP (English version).

I've tried this on two XP installations, the other with SP1 and the other with SP2 with same results.
SP1 installed with default packages and with SP2 installed with all packages found in webserv.

      Trying manually: net start apache2
      -did not help.
Does anyone have any idea how to make it right?

Until now I could not get all these working together, thanks.

      1 Small suggestion...
I would like to see the w3 validator packaged with this for windows... if possible

For some reason the .bat file for making a cert would not recognize the ssl.cnf file, I changed the first line to read:

openssl req -config openssl.cnf -new -out localhost.csr

      And it worked.

Other than that, WebServ is no1, it's needed for us non compilers.

      Thanks

Mike, I don't know what I would have done without your excellent package, seriously...here's hoping you don't ever decide to discontinue this project. :)

Hmm additions, anything that increases the security is always a plus...a FAQ or some kind of walkthrough / documentation would be nice, especially for newer users.

      How about PhpBB preconfigured?

Nothing major but I thought I'd mention it.

      Keep up the great work!

Add a php (or perl) document management system.

(WebServ is an excellent, easy to use, time saving package.)

I am using webserv under windows vista premium and it seems to work great. Thanks a lot for this great package.

I've been using this package for about 4-5 years now. Just saying thank-you seems to be an understatement. It's taken the teething issues out of setting up a Web Server for local deployment, for use as a test Server. Thanks very much, and keep up the great work. =)
