I found two major bugs in your code, one can be related
to bug item "[ 777133 ] Images are not displayed".

First the ascii conversion do not end up beeing the
same, so you need to transter the binary data forth and
back. Do not read all of the data from the host before
sending it back to the client, at some point the
connection to the client will timeout, or you may run out
of memory.

Second the http_proxy.activate must not create local
variables as they might will be changed by another
thread. Alternate you can use "SyncLock Me" but it will
have en impact on the performance.
