Server Error: Could not parse server output

I'm new to the linux thing, so maybe this is an easy one.  I seem to have gotten a successful install.  When I do a mkwebplay_id3, it seems to add the tracks, but when I try accessing webplay, I get the error "Server Error:  Could not parse server output."

I've tried building it using the database options but I get a no artists found error when I do mkwebplay_db.

Any suggestions?

does the javascript version work?  if so, are you using the java client that came w/ the server software?

which database program do you mean (mkwebplay_db doesn't exist)?  you need to populate the sql database with wpdb_dircrawler or wpdb_populate and then run mkwebplay_sql to create the xml.
