About Webplasm

This code was started in 2001, and was maintained until roughly early to late 2006. The application server code is
quite messy, and is poorly laid out (currently.) As a result of me starting the code in 2001, and continuing it,
you can see the progression of my coding style and understanding of the Java language.

This server did maintain several other sites on the Internet for a few years, and even helped run a real commercial
operation for 2 years. This server was written as a result of the poor design of other servers out there, however,
I admit - this server did suffer from poor design in many ways.

It is my mission to take the design and improve upon its already ample frame. I have written BSSE, and I plan on
using it as a framework to drive the further use of this server.

Webplasm will continue to be maintained and updated, as well as continual support added to it with technologies that
are deemed appropriate for its framework.

In this library, you will notice two very important factors:

1 - All code was written using VI - I didn't use an IDE until MUCH later down the line.
2 - I hated the ideas of using other peoples' code for trivial bullshit: I wrote most of the code you see in the
packages in the system. There are a few borrowed sources, but for the most part, I wrote everything else.

I hope to release further versions in the near future, with support for Java 5, and support for more SOAP functions,
as well as REST functionality (although that can be simulated using the UQML language.)

I hope someone out there can benefit from the source. I hope people will help contribute to it and make it better.
As a result, I am releasing the source code to the public in hopes that exactly this will happen.
