You've STILL not made a compelling argument as to why context tools are a 
problem for WM.  Why do they bother you so much, that you are willing to 
condemn existing WM users to change their templates and/or configuration, 
just to get rid of them?

Not quite.  That would only be true of you put the line

   LazyVariableFactory: org.webmacro.legacy.ContextToolFactory

in WM.defaults.  But I suspect this suggestion runs counter to the real 
point of your proposal.
