Ooops... sorry I wasn't clear. I know that *top* will print <xml version="1.0"> but what I need to do is print the character encoding from the original document. i.e. <xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8">. After looking through the source creating the document seems to be hard coded. Would it be possible to submit a patch to fix this?
