I made some nice progress, so a little report. The basic javascript functionality for the Month View is finished. There are still some functions missing, but they will be implemented once the other views are finished. Code from the other views can be used for the final touches on the Month View. I created a branch AjaxRefactorStatic where i committed all work from the last 2 weeks for you guys to check out :D It contains the static version of the webical javascript views. I also had a nice conversation with Ivo about the way i report my progress on the webical project. I got tired of editing the wiki page with progress every time i did some thing. So ivo suggested i wrote it on a blog, so people could follow my progress on the project and the project would (hopefully) get some more publicity. you can find the blog at http://mattijs.voidwalkers.nl. It's in English. Thats about it, I'm going to continue working on the day view :) cheers -- Mattijs Hoitink Func. Internet Integration W http://www.func.nl T +31 20 4230000 F +31 20 4223500 |

It's in English. Very nice initiative! This makes me think if we should setup something like blog.webical.org where all webical developers can post. Good thing about that is there is a single point of entry for all posting concerning webical. On the other hand, if you already post on your personal blog, something of an aggregator (e.g. combining the rss feeds of a tag, e.g. http://www.kovacevic.nl/blog/rss.php?serendipity[tag]=webical) makes more sense. Anyone know of an aggregator? Best, Zoran -- Zoran Kovacevic Func. Would it be useful to deploy the static version every night? Anyone know of an aggregator? I believer this[1] planet aggregator is used a lot. It requires python though. Hmm, I've just played around with Planet. It isn't very pretty and takes a considerable amount of work to prettify it. Thinking about it for a longer time, I think a dedicated shared webical blog is the thing we should want. Everything is available at a single point (posts and comments, feeds to both). @Mattijs: is it OK for you to do webical blogposts on a webical blog? I don't think Ivo is blogging right now, so for him it should not be a problem? good morning, wow, thats a lot of mail :) To bad the planet didn't work out. But nice work with the webical blog :) I'll see if i can copy my posts to the webical blog today, this should be 5 minutes work. It's no problem for me to post on the webical blog instead of my own blog. I think I will still be making a few posts on webical on my own blog (for my classmates and stuff) but i'll double post them on the webical blog. cheers PS: is it ok to change the theme to a simpler one? may i'll check it out tonight. -- Mattijs Hoitink Func. i've setup http://nightly.webical.org. i was not sure if a ROOT.xml context definition is included in the war, so i've copied the one from demo.webical.org, giving it a separate db (org_webical_nightly) using the same credentials (org_webical_demo:org_webical_demo). oh, and i've dumped demo.webical.org and imported it into the new database. the setup has a manager at http://nightly.webical.org/manager/html can the manager credentials be kept out of svn? is that something that can be configured in continuum? Thanks. I'll create a profile as soon as possible. I'll discuss the pom setup for the static stuff with matthijs at the enf of the week. the setup has a manager at http://nightly.webical.org/manager/html > > can the manager credentials be kept out of svn? is that something that > can be configured in continuum? Sure, this can be configured in ~/.m2/settings.xml on the build server. I think we do that for other apps aswell. Ivo van Dongen wrote: > > Sure, somewhere at the end of the week.
