Cosmo is pretty self-contained actually. I didn't dive in to deed yet as the
default setup gave me enough possibilities for development. I'll give it a
look this weekend (if time permits).

Well, I'm using chandler at the moment for testing. Works quite good, but
the standard logging and error reporting is almost nonexistent.

Do you have any caldav server in mind? I think that RSCDS should be pretty
okay. You can also apt-get install it:

Hey,

Mattijs is working hard on the new Ajax views. To enable this he's been
working with ext, an extended yui version. He hasn't decided yet if this has
advantages over the normal yui project, but just in case we need to check
out the license. The license schema can be found
here<http://extjs.com/license>.
They have a dual licenses system where I think we can use the opensource
variant, but it's not really my cup of tea.
Anybody with an educated opinion?

Hello,

In order to get the plugin framework somewhat stable and complete I've
started reviewing and expanded it. I'll do this in two steps: first the
backend and then the frontend. I've decided to do this by developing some
plugins in parallel to get the requirements clear in a practical way. For
the the backend plugin I've already started on a caldav provider, I'll
decide on the frontend plugin later (thinking off a google maps plugin).
While working on the plugin a couple of issues/missing features already
popped up together with some infrastructure needs to make development
easier. I'll list them here for now.

Infrastructure needs:

- A maven repository to deploy webical classes to. This enables plugin
developers to add webical as a compile time dependency.
- A webdav location (or just web with some other form of upload) to deploy
the plugin manifest xsd. This makes it possible to reference the xsd online.
- Nigthly builds that can be deployed to the maven repository (through
continuum?).
- An svn restructuring to accommodate the plugins developed in-house. This
could be done as a separate project or by dividing trunk in /webical and
/plugins.
- (Optional) A location to upload (nigtly) builds for the plugins.


Webical enhancements:

- Extension the pom so that a jar is created with the classes to upload to
the maven repository.
- The possibility to include jar archives in the plugin:
   - Extend the manifest xsd.
   - Extend the plugin classloader.
- Add dependency information in the framework

Version 0.2 of Webical has just been released. It is a webbased tool for 
viewing and editing iCalendars on WebDAV shares.

We've added a new template and numerous bugfixes. The installation 
manual has been updated, making it a breeze to install.

The next version will finally support AJAX, stay tuned for that :)

But first, please try out version 0.2 and tell us what you think! We can 
be reached through the mailinglist and trackers.

It's probably the same problem I saw earlier in the project where references
to the panels modelObject weren't handled correctly. I don't have the time
right now to check it out, but if you do you'd should look at the references
to the GregorianCalendar instances passed between the panels through the
DateSelectionListener. I thought I'd fixed them all a while back, but
apparently I missed one.

Hey,

I've taken a look at it and it seems the sql file is not incorrect, just a
bit impractical. The file does work if you execute it without first
selecting a database (because it wants to create the database as well).
Perhaps this line needs to be dropped or the documentation sharpened. I'll
let Mattijs decide.
The applicationContext-release.xml is fixed. Perhaps a new release on monday
(after some testing)?

I was doing an svn update when I saw an applicationContext-release.xml in
src/main/webapps/WEB-INF/. Please make sure all profile specific files are
in their respective folders (in this case etc/release). I moved it there and
didn't find any references to update.

I also had a problem with the database:

I fixed it by temporarily letting hibernate create the needed tables. I 
have dumped the created and clean tables in the attached file. Please

It doesn't work.

The applicationContext-release.xml misses an enclosing <beans> tag

please add the following at the top:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE beans PUBLIC "-//SPRING//DTD BEAN//EN" 
"http://www.springframework.org/dtd/spring-beans.dtd">
<beans>

and a closing </beans> tag at the end.
