Need a way to 'point' to an object on the screen, either by way of mouse/pointer telemetry sharing or a hot-key that high lites a small region of the screen the pointer is currently residing.

Thanks for the request! I'm guessing you mean for slide annotation (not desktop sharing).

This is a great idea. I've sen other apps offer both a pointer (you click and it appears there; click again elsewhere and it is moved there) and markers that linger. The lingerers could be stars or something that you can put as many as you want on a given slide.
