Hi I have followed the installation insructions (as best as possible!); but when I restart tomcat (4.0.4) and call the default page, I simply get a directory listing... What do I need to fix?? Thanks Derek |

Pardon me if this has already been asked a million times: I noted that, when I copied and pasted some pretty simple but lengthy text into the editor's body field, it went away when I hit "save," while the rest of the fields stayed in place. However, previewing the document shows that the text is present, and it is available in the "Source" view. For reference, the text is all plain, with a length of 13.4kb. |

I have been searching for the function for exporting static HTML of the project for publication elsewhere. Is it present, or did I misunderstand the documentation? |

In the file (from webEditor-0.3.zip) webEditor-0.3\editors\editor_1\data\news\2001\4\5\986503315780.xml the line <art_image>/myNews/images/2001/4/5/wEd_small.jpg</art_image> is missing a leading /webEditor that causes a missing image on the main = content page. This is only in the source zip. the zipped war has the = leading /webEditor in it and displays correctly. Dennis |

Hi Dennis: These estrange behavior that you mention is due to the security setting of the IE. The easiest way (for me) to get rid of them, is to add the webEditor webserver to the "Trusted Sites" (Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Trusted Sites). I now that IE doesn't like to execute "unknown" ActiveX, but I have seen other implementations of the DHTMLEdit control which didn't shows any warning message (for example, in Hotmail).... I would love to know how to accomplish that. Alfredo Dennis Carroll wrote: > > Hi all, > > Nice product. Installation went well for me with one hitch.
