Webdisk version 0.44
server platform: RHES5
Web server platform: Apache 2.2.3-6.e15, jakarta-tomcat-5.0.28, jboss-4.0.5.GA.
Client platform: Windows XP SP2
Browsers: Firefox 2.0.0.6 and IE 6.0.2900

I have a ergonomic problem withh the webdisk userinterface.
When you click on a filename or directory you can see the file/directory. When you return with the backward button of your browser the file/directory is still selected (mark in box). If you then select another file and use delete - you also delete the file you visited.
Clicking anywhere on a line sets the file as marked.
Is it possible to exclude the marking of a file, when clicking on the filename? Or just restricting it to the "select box".

    Hello,

This is the common behavior of your browser: when hitting the back button, it restores the last state including form contents, javascript events, etc. This is a common problem which also appears with every other web application.

There is no workaround for this. You can use the onunload event to unselect the items after the page is left, but that only works with Firefox, not IE.

So when hitting the back button, you must unselect the items manually before hitting the delete button. I think that is also what the normal user expects.

    bye
