#1 Error adding contact to List

I get the following error when I try to add a contact to a list:

Fatal error: Cannot use object of type PEAR_Error as array in /home/cmrconsu/public_html/credit2/php_inc/lib.inc.php on line 1009

I'm sure there's a configuration piece wrong, but I followed the directions exactly, and it won't work.

Can anyone help?
