I'm happy to announce that the second milestone in Webcpp's presence on the internet has been achieved.
Webcpp was registered at SourceForge on June 29th, 2001. The first file release (v0.1.1-pre1) came shortly after. At the time, I thought I'd be lucky if even 100 people EVER downloaded it.
Many, many versions and file releases, and seven months later, Web C Plus Plus has reached 30,000 hits, and 10,000 downloads.... read more
A new Webcpp for Win32 is out, version 1.2.0.
The engine is based on the brand-new webcpp 0.6.5, which offers new and improved ways of string and number highlighting. The previous Webcpp32 was based on 0.6.2.
The interface has been slightly changed, adding in a couple of new convenient features.
The user's manual was also updated, and many other changes have been made.

Happy 2002!!!
Webcpp rings in the new year with 0.6.4. This release offers some feature enhancements, as a follow-up of the 0.6.3 preview release. It also fixes a little bug...

In webcpp 0.6.2, the changelog presents a fix for a 'memory-leak' in Style::keysCheck() from previous versions of webcpp.
It turns out, it wasn't exactly a leak, but rather a poor
and pointless implementation of memory re-allocation which determines the language type for every line in a file it processes.
So if you use any webcpp version below 0.6.2, don't worry, there's no leak...it's just not as efficient as 0.6.2 and up.
Webcpp for Win32 v1.1 has been released, introducing a new key feature: batch conversions. The interface expands and contracts to reveal the batch controls.

CRITICAL RELEASE VERSION 1.0.2
This fixes the incompatibility with non-NT systems because of incompatible DLL's (which are ony good with Windows NT-based systems). Webcpp for Win32 v1.0.2 is no longer packaged with DLL's.
If you've installed earlier releases Webcpp for Win32 on a Non-NT system, and are experiencing Windows problems, you will need to replace the following DLL's in your Windows/System folder:... read more
Webcpp for Win32 is a full replacemnet for Web C Plus Plus. It provides
a Win32 GUI and a built-in webcpp engine. Unlike the Webcpp
WinGUI, Webcpp for Win32 is a full port to Win32.
This is standalone software, and Web C Plus Plus is NOT
required in order to run this program. The internal engine
is based on the brand new Webcpp-0.6.2 engine. The changes in 0.6.2 are listed here: http://webcpp.sourceforge.net/changes.html... read more
Webcpp 0.6.0 is now out, with support for stylesheets (CSS) as an alternative colour scheme format. Webcpp's native format, SCS, is also still supported.
Each of the colour scheme formats have their advantage over the other, and the choice of which to use is now up to you.

It was a long process, but the webcpp website has been revamped. The webcpp site ver. 2.0 now has navigation tables, and a new look, but keeping the original colours.
Just a warning: I kinda went crazy on the tables, so please don't mind.
