Hi everybody who know what PHP is.
This is my idea.
Users generate form throught FF and add some logic. And this=20
application can run in web browser and in normal windoze too.=20
I think it's possible create one application for web and for normal=20
enviroment together.=20
I download GTK project. I think it's possible convert GTK examples to=20
DotPHP source code!! Of course there are some limitation, but it can=20
works. Who want make it? Make convertor beween GTK and DotPHP? Of=20
course better will be create DotPHP with support for normal windoze=20
application. But who want/know create somethink like that?

Hi techno leaders
Jameshoo, release FormForge again and again. But last version is=20
realy cool. New version is in CVS also. So, whole team can develop.
I fixed global CSS style in DotPHP. So, I think we can release last=20
DotPHP version in this year, few day before christmats day.
This year was realy cool, but I think next will be much better. When=20
I compare first FF for example it's big step.

Hi everybody
I clear CVS repository, now we have one directory dotphp with lastest=20
version of DotPHP. There are webcomp2 and ff2 directory also.=20
I complete rename all uppercase filename to lower.
Our demo run on sourceforge server! Yes it works, there are problem=20
with session path. So look on new demo...
If you have any comment about DotPHP please send it to=20
re...@us.... She can add it to documentation..
BTW in new version of DotPHP will be better HTML compresion. I will=20
release it in this friday. So if you have any upgrade....

Hi geeks As I see, am I not alone with DotPHP coding. I wrote a article for=20 PHP|Architect. I found critical bugs in dotPHP core. I want release=20 DotPHP tomorow. Hi all This is intoduction to DotPHP (item 2). Please check my english. Special to Reema. Akelavlk item 2 Starting with DotPHP DotPHP is a framework which incude FormForge, PHPBaseClasses, NuSOAP. Implement some technology, like event handling, data storage, server=20 clipboard. You can store your variable in data storage and don't resend it via=20 POST or GET method. When you want communicate with another components=20 on your web site you can use server clipboard. It's somethink like OLE=20 technology, but very simple implementation. You can save image into clipboard and=20 another image=20 components can show it. And what is component? It's save object as DELPHI or C++ component.=20 But these are useing on web. Web components can run only with DotPHP. But you can use DotPHP and don't use web components.=20 You can use FormForge for crete web form with components in future. When you build business application you can use PHPBaseClasses and=20 don't write same code again and again. Event handling
Event handling is same as event hanlding in normal application.
When user click to button, onclick event is call.=20
DotPHP call this event through JavaScript code. This JavaScript is
generate when render component.
Every event which is send to server must containt dp_name and=20
dp_event.
dp_name - Name of component which generate this event.
dp_event - is name of function wich is call on user action.
Some components use own definition event. See tabsheet_set_page=20
function
in TabSheet. This event is call when user click to sheet.
After that is call function tabsheet_set_page, but in this object.
When you want override this function you can define tabsheet_set_page=20
in
your program. DotPHP check if exists this function in your code before
after that is call this function in component.
You can define your own event on client site also. It's out of DotPHP.

PHPBaseClasses and NuSOAP. And what is DotPHP? It's

framework with event
handling. I think it's very easy to use, see examples

Web components is not supported at this time. DotPHP

3.01 will be only with DotPHP.

Formforge 3 is included in this release. Someday it
may be a front end
for DotPHP. Right now it does drag n drop positioning
and sizing of images,
text, buttons, textareas and hyperlinks. Also does CSS
styling of components.
This is a beta release - It should work with register
globals on or off.
It doesnt work on Opera or Netscape 6 or 7. Works good
with Mozilla and
newer versions of IE. This was developed on linux and
might work on windows
but I haven't tried it on windows.

If you prefix all the classes I really do suggest that you change phpbaseclasses name too.. phpbaseclasses is being used in production and I do want to keep it backwards compatible. It would be better to use namespaces for this. I don't know if PHP5 will make this possible... and/or if it is possible in PHP4. You can put phpbaseclasses in any directory. The best thing you can do is to put it outside your DirectoryRoot for security reasons. I don't know exactly what has to be changed if there is a need for a change. Note that phpbaseclasses has it's own (rather simple) configuration system (it reads that from a xml-file) thus it might be necessary to or adapt the other components of this new library or adapt the configurationsystem of phpbaseclasses. However, I don't have much time to work on phpbaseclasses these days. I WILL support you if you make changes (that are or are not backwards compatible -> I would prefer backwards compatible changes) but for the next xx-weeks I cannot work on this library for various reasons. I will someday help the webcomp-project (or whatever name it will have by then) and I agree if you want to include phpbaseclasses (and rename it to baselib). Hi, I just found the Form Forge and Web Components project. It seems very interesting. I am using SuSE 8.0 with: Apache=09=091.3.23 (heavily patched for recent bugs by SuSE) mod_php4=094.1.0 I'm trying to view pages in Mozilla (1.0 I think) or Konqueror (3.0.4). I've tried IE on Win2K as the client. I've installed formforge into /home/khayes/public_htlm/formforge so that I can access it as =09http://localhost/~khayes/formforge I had to change left.php to put the sessions in /tmp otherwise it would be unable to create the sessions. I had to modify Net/UA.php similarly to put data into /tmp/UA/...=20 I can bring up the first page (loaded by index.php). But Form Forge doesn't seem to do anything. If I click on a component, it will load another Form Forge browser window and show the scrolling welcome message, but no component. I can type a name in the login box and it will create the pass.sql and users.sql files. But nothing is in them. I'm pretty new to PHP, but have programmed for years in other languages. Is this some configuration I've missed or something? I cannot seem to actually do anything with Form Forge. With IE, it opens another browser window with the welcome message and does nothing. IE sho= ws "Error on Page" for the original window, but won't let me open a right-cl= ick menu to see the source for the page. I am using the latest version from Source Forge downloaded today. But I told my boss that it would be better to make it part of the rest of the LGPL'ed library :) .. so that is why you can get your hands on it's sources. I would be pleased if somebody took my work (PhpBaseClasses) and the work of others and melted all this into a very good general purpose library for PHP or, perhaps, a JSP and .NET-a-like framework. IMHO, without it, PHP will loose a lot programmers using it to ASP.NET and JSP. I don't care about JSP as I like this programming environment very much ..
