I think it would be useful to mention clearly the name and email of the person who add/edit the task/project/forum in the notification mails.

For example,

This is the Tasks Management site informing you that a task you own was changed on 2010 Mar 24 09:53 +0100.

Here are the details:

From : John SMITH ( john.smith@gmail.com )
Project : Test project
Task : Test task
Status : New
Deadline: 2010-Mar-24
