I recently installed Webcleaner 2.39 (no optional packages) under Python 2.4.3 for Windows.
When I attempt to use the proxy and visit a website, the page does not load completely. Checking the source for the site, it seems to cut off in the middle of the file.
The Webcleaner log file lists "read error" for the HttpClient:recieve method as the cause of the problem. Here are some example lines from the log:
ERROR 2006-05-23 08:33:26,171 wc.proxy <HttpClient:receive
http://www.betanews.com/> read error
ERROR 2006-05-23 08:33:28,187 wc.proxy <HttpClient:receive http://fileforum.betanews.com/> read error
ERROR 2006-05-23 08:47:11,280 wc.proxy <HttpClient:receive http://www.betanews.com/article/Calif_Men_Guilty_of_Xbox_Modding/1147363187%27
> read error
ERROR 2006-05-23 08:48:18,108 wc.proxy <HttpClient:receive http://www.amazon.com/gp/homepage.html/002-1191379-5388042> read error
Using both Opera 9.0 (build 8414) and Internet Explorer, I recieve the same error. I have not changed any of the default Webcleaner configuration except for the admin password.
