#52 Verifying files:

Hi, new to php (never used) and no idea how it works ;-)

Running Windows XP, installing via Firefox, MySQL on
host ISP server version 4.0.13, phpmyadmin version
2.5.1 - I may need to contact my server to get them to
upgrade as it mentions security patches at myadmin home.

What I am getting on install:

File integrity says:

All required directories were found, all required files
were found, all required admnistrator template were
found, all required writable files were found to be
writeable.

Then in red: Some required writeable directories were
found to be not writeable, the installer is not locked.

The configuration information is ok, Errors were found
in your webcards installation, the specific errors are
outlined below.
./images is not writeable. Please check the permissions.
./images/thumbs is not writeable. Please check the
permissions.
./lang is not writeable. Please check the permissions.
./templates/styles is not writeable. Please check the
permissions.
The installer is not locked. Click here to attempt to
lock the installer

I use terrapin ftp and the chmod only seems to work on
the file and not the directory/folder name, so
individual clicking and changing has to happen. It
also gives me an all users, other members, and group
members choice with all permissions etc, but no numbers
as in your 0775 and 0666? There is a part on the ftp
client to change command but I have no idea how to do
this so I have enabled all permissions for owner, group
and other users on the all the files specified. I have
tried to enable all the files above but it doesn't seem
to work.

Would appreciate your help as it looks a great program.

I am not directly familiar with the software you are using
but they all generally work the same way.
If you right-click on the folder set it so that all groups
and users can write to the folder.

Let me know if you need any more help and I can look at
the software for you.
