#12 automatic tumbnail creation

In the admin feature when I add a new picture I
discovered that when I upload a JPG picture and select
to create an automatic thumbnail there is no problem.
But when I upload a GIF picture and select to make an
automatic thumbnail the thumbnail is totaly black.
