#301 PS3 Eye + macam + Skype + Mac Mini NO WORK!!

Thanks for your drivers. An excellent work, really.

I have a big trouble. I bought PS3 Eye Camera and I installed the macam drivers and the last version of Skype in a Mac Mini 2010 (Intel Core Duo)

Macam software works but crashes when I try to capture video.

Skype recognizes the webcam and sound is very good, but the image is black, there is no image.

I have the following system::

Mac Mini 2010 (Intel Core Duo)
MacOS X Snow Leopard with last update.
macam drivers 0.9.2 & last version (the same result)
Skype 5.1.0.922 (Last Version)

I tried with many combinations of Skype and macam drivers, but the camera can't work. I'm desperate, because people in youtube install the drivers and the camera works.

Can you help me? Please!!!!

I face the exact same problem:
PS/3 Eye camera, Mac Mini (2.1), Snow Leopard 10.6.7, Skype 5.1.0.922
Mic is Ok, camera is detected (using latest macam drivers), but image stays black.
The Macam app works fine, camera image is good. Skype does not.

I can get video under macam, but no other program detects the video capabilities of the camera (photobooth, quicktime, skype).

Audio works fine.

Tried with macam 0.9.2 and the 2009-09-25 cvs build

Same here, it did work once a month or so ago, but it won't work now. I have a Mac Pro and have tried the latest stable version and the latest test version. The red light on the camera only comes on when I use the Mac cam app. Skype seems to think the camera is there but it only shows black and the red light doesn't go on.

I do want to tell you it DOES work with skype version 2.8.0.866 which is the last version before they went to the modern version 5

Did you put macam.component into the QuickTime component folder?

I have the exact same problem. My system is the following:

Mac Mini 2012 (Intel Core i7 64 bit)
MacOS X Mavericks 10.9.2
macam drivers 0.9.2
Skype (Last Version)

Only the microphone is recognized. The camera isn't recognized in Skype, FaceTime, or any other software that I have. Can you please provide a patch for the Mavericks version? I would appreciate it so much.
