This very old QuickCam (vendor ID 0x046d, product ID 0x0810) works well in macam up to version 0.8.3.
When I try it with macam version 0.8.5 and higher, including 0.9.2, all I get is a bunch of vertical multicolored stripes. (Version 0.8.4 doesn't even run.) I'm using OS X 10.5.6.
