    Hi I have a 35DCM USB 2.0 Digital Camera for Microscopes (350K pixels). It works on Windows 7. I want to use it on a MacBook Pro M2 processor. I am looking for software to make it work in Photoshop. If you have any ideas you can share for this purpose? Glenn

    Hello, PrimeX was an alternative to GoPro style action cameras but the company went bust and I've been wanting to use it as a streaming alternative to the iMac's internal camera. The PrimeX has two outputs - HDMI and USB.     As above peoples...I bought a Sony PS3 Eye camera to use with a Octoprint ona Raspberry Pi, but thought it could be handy for Skype with family on the other side of the world.     When I put the files in the library, Photobooth doesn't workm with a PS2 Eyetoy Macam only takes stills . I try to step in camera's view and it's not a live camera;. It reqiuires mme to save a file to use, instead of just "runnimng live via stream" I might have a broken eyetoy. will check and update if necessary.

    Last development appears to have been 2009 so I am not even sure if any camera works in Catalina. I tried the ps3 eye which I think says supported in the database but it just says internal error. Odd given the number of downloads it still gets per week at 13k or something. Repo is still in cvs, lots of broken links... developers must have all bought cameras that just work for osx out of the box and lost interest. At $50 for a supported webcam probably not worth the effort to update the software.

    Update on above. After second reboot of computer and relaunching of macam, it displayed a series of banded multicolor lines with a "communication error"message. After the third reboot of computer and relaunching of macam, it again displayed a black screen, but this time the camera name was displayed (see attached screenshot) which indicates that the camera was recognized.     Unfortunately, the build in USB webcam in the HP EliteDisplay S340C didn’t work with MAC OS X and is also not supported by macam. Everything works fine with Windows. HP points to Apple to solve the problem and visa versa. Any chance to get this supported with maccam?
