I modified the report.php and edit_report.php files so that I could add groups to the reports. I did this because my boss wanted to see reports on multiple users at once and I felt this was the easiest way to do it since it did not require any database changes other than storing the group name in the slot normally used for the report user.
The way I did it does require that group names are unique - meaning that there can't be any user names that are the same as the group name due to possible logic errors that might come up if that happens. That's not likely to happen, but I did feel I should warn anyone that wants to use this.
After updating with these files, when you go to edit a report, you will see the group names at the bottom of the list of users you can select.
I've marked my code with beginning and ending comments along the lines of //my code starts here or whatever.
