#2728 Fatal Error, Can't save preferences to make Calendar public

I am using WebCalendar v1.2.7

I can not make my WebCalendar "public" because I can't save preferences. I receive a fatal error regardless of what user account I use.

error: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/(my site)/WebCalendar/includes/dbi4php.php on line 818

I implemented the change as displayed at the above address and it did not correct the issue.

I am not sure where to get help with this. I am new to the WebCalendar and just installed it yesterday. I can't use it as it stands.
