Hi,

If you are using 4.x or an old 5.0 snapshot and require to use a proxy which is not configured in esigate, server may hang at start while trying to retrieve a dtd. 

This has been fixed in latest release.

Otherwise, does esigate accept connections on default port 8080 ?
